Stories From Miami Marine Stadium


Down in Miami is a unique stadium facing the action in the ocean. Locals are fighting to save it from the wrecking ball. The Miami Marine Stadium is a unique modernist gem in Florida's history, and since its future is unknown, I wanted to share this link with the National Trust for Historic Preservation story, so you can see what it looked like in its heyday:

Built in 1963 by Pancoast, Ferendino, Grafton, Skeels and Burnham, the Ralph Middleton Munroe Miami Marine Stadium it was a popular venue for watching speed boat racing in the 60's and 70's.
